A fun-filled excursion to acquaint children with the heritage of the city was organised for Class-IV students on 29 March'16. It started with a spiritual visit to 'Birla Temple' where children seeked the blessings of almighty. They were next taken to 'Lotus Temple', also known as 'Bahai Temple' which is based on 'Bahai Faith'. Students meditated there and felt the inner peace. The historical insight was developed at 'Qutub Minar' where they were told about the history of the place. It was followed by a delicious lunch served at Ocean Pearl Resort after which they were taken to India Gate where they learned about the sacrifices made by our Indian Army to uphold the integrity and safety of our nation. The final destination was the Red Fort, a World Heritage Site. The students got to learn a lot about the Mughal period, the invasion of Britishers and the flag hoisting done there by the Hon'ble Prime Minister every year since independence. It was a memorable and full of learning day for them.
