The teachers of Mata Jai Kaur Public School attended a workshop on ‘Mindful Living’ on 22 July 2024 in the Auditorium of the school. The workshop was conducted by Ms Kriti S Munjal, a licensed Clinical Psychologist from the Rehabilitation Council of India. She is working with the Department of Mental health and Behavioral Sciences at Fortis Healthcare.
Over 70 teachers attended the workshop. The workshop began with Ms Kriti S Munjal posing a series of questions that aimed at encouraging one to identify key stress areas in their life and then focus on tackling them. The workshop emphasized on the need for becoming more mindful in one’s daily life by becoming more aware of one’s surroundings. The key to maintaining a balance between work and life is by learning how to regulate emotions, concentrating on one task at a time and practicing the art of assertive communication.
The school Principal, Mr Sandeep Singh Kathuria and the Headmistress, Ms Anuradha Babbar also attended the workshop. This was followed by an interactive question answer session with the teachers. The Principal, Mr Kathuria thanked Ms Kriti S Munjal for addressing the teachers’ concerns. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks which was delivered by Ms Pankaja.
